Fort Collins is a wonderful place to live due to our beautiful environment and the work that our community has done to protect and preserve our open spaces, the Poudre River, and our air quality.  Our state not only has beautiful natural environments, but also abundant natural resources.  Protecting the environment is fundamental to making sure we have healthy and safe places to live, work and play.

My belief is that to protect the beauty of our state while continuing to grow, we should expand our use of renewable energy sources and technologies. By advancing renewables, we can create more jobs, new economic opportunities, and contribute to the global effort in addressing climate change. The long-term health and safety of Coloradans will depend on the environment we share. To foster a positive future, I will continue to support legislation for renewable resource development and environmental preservation.
