Health Care

Preserving and improving healthcare for all Coloradans are my top priorities. I believe that access to healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and that every Coloradan should be able to make their own healthcare decisions free from judgment, systemic barriers, and political influence.

The changing landscape of healthcare in our nation will have many direct and indirect effects on the accessibility and quality of care in Colorado. It is important that we remain aware of potential changes and respond to the evolving needs of our people. We must fight for parity in physical and mental health care benefits and expand coverage for dental care, vision, hearing, and other areas that impact overall health. I will continue to be the voice for the voiceless and advocate for those with critical healthcare needs, including seniors and people with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD).

As a State Senator, I advocate for lowering healthcare costs, including the price of insurance, prescription drugs, and hospital care. I will continue to fight to increase the transparency of these prices so that Coloradans can protect themselves financially and minimize the burden of excessive healthcare costs.

My commitment to protecting and improving healthcare is unwavering. I will work to keep all of us physically and mentally healthy without being consumed by the cost of care.
